New Quay itself is a quiet rural community comprising byroads and boreens devoid of traffic and ideal for walking and cycling.

Within 5 minutes walk is a sandy beach whilst the shop and pub/restaurant with delicious seafood is only 300 yards away.

It is a central base for touring Galway and Clare. The landscape of the Burren National park and the rugged coastal route to Lahinch with its championship golf course and surf beach makes a great day trip.

There are 8 golf courses within an hour's drive. Horseback riding, mysterious ruins, hiking, fishing, cycling, and water sports are available locally. Alternatively Galway and Ennis (40 mins.) are great for shopping, theatre, and cinema.
